The cones are set out because the lot needs repainted and I was standing on a newish parking structure, the end spaces will / are an aisle to drive in. Neat to see different vehicles converted. I did a Google search & looks to be a $23,000 conversion , other conversions open the door assembly up like gullwing doors. Those are available on Tahoes & Suburbans for about $29,000.
2013 video of one opening. Newer ones are about 8 seconds faster.

What’s the point of this car? If it had a wheelchair in the place of the driver seat,I’d understand. This way, you can lower drivers seat all the way down. Is it for a really short person?

Wuuuuut!?!?!?
That’s one of the weirdest freaking things I’ve ever seen.
HFV has no HFV. But somehow has 2 motorcycles

Inten years this will be a standard feature, in all self driving crossovers.

Very cool. I’m assuming the driver would be in their own chair and the stock one is just so that non-wheelchair pilots can drive it around?

They had one of the gullwing door pickups at the STL auto show a couple years back.

I wonder how much this messes with the L-R weight balance of the vehicle.

The one or two I’ve seen have little cranes in the back for the chairs. However I’ve seen many more with cranes that are lowered and have some special seat in them.

what token liberal said. seat is there is others. the conversion really is just for someone who is wheelchair bound.
